The South Wales Police Authority Community Safety Volunteer of the Year awards are for those who voluntarily help to keep our streets and communities safe.

 
There are four categories:
  • Community Safety Volunteer (one award winner per council area)
  • Young Community Safety Volunteer (Under 21)
  • Community Safety Volunteer Team
  • Community Safety Initiative
 

Nomination Guidance

 

  • Nominations can be made online or through the application form, when available.

 

  • The nomination must state the category being entered, along with how the person nominating knows the nominee.

 

  • All work must be voluntary.

 

  • The voluntary work must done in the South Wales area

 

  • Nominees must be made aware they have been put forward for the award.

 

  • The Young Community Safety Volunteer category is open to anyone under the age of 21.

 

  • Nominees must be aware of the possibility of contact with the media for publicity purposes.

 

  • Examples of work and the benefit it brings to the Police and/or Authority should be included on the nomination form. Additional sheets may be included in the nomination.

 

  • The decision of the Police Authority is final.

 

  • The Police Authority reserves the right to verify any details of the nomination.
