Rita Limbrick

Overall & Vale of Glamorgan Winner – Rita Limbrick

 
Rita Limbrick has been using her cookery skills to engage in a number of voluntary pursuits since 1991, when she became involved in a youth club established within the Barry YMCA. 
 
Since that time she has been involved with a number of projects, including a Multicultural Café and the Mega Byte Café.  During the years, she has raised over £10,000 for various charities and organisations.
 
Suleman Hawas

Bridgend Winner – Suleman Hawas

 
Suleman Hawas is an active member of the community.  He is a member of the Police Independent Advisory Group, the Bridgend Community Cohesion Group and the Valleys Race Equality Council. 
 
He has worked hard to break down the barriers between local residents and the Muslim community in Aberkenfig.
 
Mohammed Tariq

Cardiff Winner – Mohammed Tariq

 
Mohammed Tariq is the general secretary of the Pakistan Welfare Association, a member of the Muslim Professional Association of Wales and joint secretary of the Muslim Education and Welfare of Wales. 
 
The work  he undertakes helps in building relationships between the Muslim Community and the Police.
 
Hilary Doyle

Merthyr Tydfil Winner – Hilary Doyle

 
Hilary Doyle was elected Chair of the Merthyr Tydfil Neighbourhood Watch Association in 2000.  She has devoted a vast amount of her time to the Association and has fought tirelessly to increase its effectiveness within the community. 
 
She works part time at Treharris Police Station voluntarily to ensure that all watches in the Borough get the support and assistance they require.
 
Ainsley Griffiths

Neath Port Talbot Winner – Ainsley Griffiths

 
Ainsley Griffiths is the Chairman of the Melyncrythan Neighbourhood Watch Scheme, and Executive Member of the Afan Tawe Nedd Neighbourhood Watch Association. 
 
He gives his time to making the area a safer and more secure environment.  His enthusiasm and commitment has earned him the respect of all elements of the community.
 
Ambulance First Responder Team

Rhondda Cynon Taf Winners – Ambulance First Responder Team Llantrisant and Pontyclun

 
The Ambulance First Responder Team attend emergency calls in their area to provide treatment to patients prior to the arrival of an ambulance. 
 
The voluntary team provide round the clock emergency care within their community.
Esther Searle

Swansea Winners – Esther Searle

 
Esther Searle is a volunteer with Victim Support, mainly supporting victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, rape and racial crimes. She provides support often at very short notice.
 
Her approach provides the victims with dignity after crimes that can leave them feeling worthless. She is experienced and committed to the role.
