Perception of Crime Survey Results 2011

consultation
The levels of crime in South Wales are decreasing.  Figures show that between April 2010 and March 2011, overall crime fell by 9.2%.  In addition, anti-social behaviour dropped by 15.5% in the same period.

Despite this, there remains a perception of high crime levels within our community.

Consultation roadshows were held during June 2011 in each local authority area in South Wales to ask about the perception in crime, confidence in the police, and the current level of knowledge in Police and Crime Commissioners.

In total 796 people took part in the events.
