Terms of reference
1. To consider and advise the Authority on any medium term strategic planning issues, in particular the strategic objectives for the Force and Authority.
2. To monitor the progress of the Force strategic development projects
3. To consider and monitor the Five-Year Strategic Plan and the Authority/Force Vision.
4. To consider and monitor the Force Strategic Assessments and Strategic Risks.
5. To consider the priorities and alignment to the policing plan of strategic partners, including Local Authority’s, Community Safety Partnerships and Local Service Boards.
6. To consider and monitor any collaboration and/or partnership plans affecting the Authority and Force.
7. To consider and monitor the Force and Authority Financial Strategy including lobbying Central Government and the Welsh Assembly Government..
8. To consider and monitor the medium term productivity plan and efficiency targets.
9. To consider issues relating to the Capital Strategy, including the Estates, Fleet and ICT.
10. To consider detailed budget proposals for the determination of the full Authority.
11. To monitor and oversee the satisfactory implementation of Project Reform.
12. To consider any environmental issues.
13. To consider emerging risks to the Authority’s vision and objectives.
