1. To receive and consider reports on any protective services issue, in particular relating to:
(a) Counter terrorism & domestic extremism
(b) Major crime
(c) Serious and organised crime
(d) Critical incident management
(e) Public order
(f) Firearms
(g) Domestic abuse
(h) Child protection
(i) Sexual and dangerous offenders
(j) Public protection
(k) Level 2 crime
(l) Civil contingencies
(m) Drugs & TARIAN programme
(n) Forensic and scientific support
(o) Air support
(p) Regional Asset Recovery Team (RART)
(q) Regional Intelligence Cell (RIC)
(r) Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA)
(s) Strategic roads policing
(t) Major crime review investigations
(u) Cyber crime
(v) Covert policing and human rights
 
2. To act on behalf of the Authority in overseeing the regional collaboration programme.
 
3. To monitor the performance of the Force in relation to protective services, and the resources contributed to all-Wales projects by South Wales Police.
 
4. To monitor the progress with Demonstrator Site initiatives, together with the All Wales Protective Service agenda and WECTU.
 
5. To consider emerging risks to the Authority’s vision and objectives.
