1. To monitor all issues relating to staffing, including:
(a) Sickness management
(b) Ill health issues
(c) Workforce transformation
(d) Recruitment, selection and training
 
2. To monitor, consider and promote all strands of diversity and equality:
(a) Age
(b) Disability
(c) Ethnicity
(d) Religion & Belief
(e) Gender (including transgender)
(f) Sexual orientation
(g) Welsh language
 
3. To monitor the Force and Authority Equality Schemes and impact assessments.
 
4. To monitor progress of strategic HR projects.
 
5. To monitor the force’s progress in meeting the employment targets set by the Police Authority in relation to under represented groups.
 
6. To monitor the Independent Advisory Groups.
 
7. To consider all issues relating to health and safety.
 
8. To monitor the occurrences of hate crime, and any issues raised as a result.
 
9. To monitor compliance against the Human Rights Act.
 
10. To monitor the Force’s equality of use of stop and search powers.
 
11. To consider the emerging risks to the Authority’s vision and objectives.
