Knowledge of the Police Authority – January 2009
During January 2009, the Police Authority ran a small consultation exercise to understand if people knew of the Authority and its work.
The results were as follows:
- 50% of people had some or wide knowledge of the Authority – only 6.4% had never heard of it.
- 42% of people knew who their local Police Authority Member was.
- 67% of people knew the role of the Authority.
