In 200 days, voters across South Wales will be electing their first Police and Crime Commissioner. But at the moment, not much is known about the changes.
South Wales Police Authority has introduced a ‘PCC What?’ campaign, which allows you to ask questions about the changes and the new policing system being brought in.

The number of complaint allegations made against South Wales Police has dropped by over 10% in the last year, according to a report presented to South Wales Police Authority.
The figures, provided to the Authority’s Quality of Service Group, show that the number of allegations dropped from 1,170 in 2010/11 to 1,047 in 2011/12 – a drop of 10.5%.

South Wales Police Authority has today launched its equality objectives, which sets out how we will promote equality.
The Equality Objectives, available at the Police Authority’s website, have been brought in to demonstrate how we will work towards achieving the aims of the General Equality Duty in the next few years. This is a requirement under the Equality Act 2010.
