Chief Constable Honoured
Chief Constable Peter Vaughan has been honoured by members of the minority ethnic communities in South Wales.
Mr Vaughan was presented with glass awards, with inscriptions of Allah and the Prophet Mohammed PBUH, by members of South Wales Police Authority, who represent minority ethnic communities.
The awards were presented to honour Mr Vaughan for his work with minority ethnic communities, along with congratulating him becoming Chief Constable.
Vale of Glamorgan Police Authority Member, Moawia Bin-Sufyan, one of the presenters of the awards, said: “Peter Vaughan has dedicated himself to working with all the communities of South Wales. As a representative of the minority ethnic community, I know the hard work he has put into making our area inclusive for everyone. This award symbolises the recognition we have for this work, and is a small gesture to say thank you.”
