Complaints Policy Relating to the Direction and Control of a Police Force

South Wales Police Authority has adopted the Home Office Guidance relating to the Handling of Complaints Relating to the Direction and Control of the Police Force by a Chief Officer.

This policy is provided in the document below.

It makes clear that a complaint about direction and control can often be significant and, whilst rightly relating to the operational discretion of the Chief Officer, requires a meaningful and timely response.
